And by quite a bit too. Frederick County was won by Romney by three, Bartlett lost it by 20 points. Bartlett even narrowly lost Washington County, which went almost 58% for Romney and was won by him 19 points.

I'm not too surprised, the general consensus seemed to have been that he was a senile old coot who needed to retire even if he wasn't targeted in redistricting, but I also wonder then why he even bothered with another run.

The Frederick result is deceiving.  Only the most Democratic parts of the county are in the sixth district, while the most Republican parts are in the 8th, where they get drowned out by Montgomery county.

What was the presidential result for MD-06?  Something like 53/46 Obama?

Almost certainly a lot higher.  In 2008 it was 57%-42% Obama.  This time it was probably around 59%-40% Obama.  The Montgomery and even Frederick portions of the district are trending more Dem every cycle.
