I'd think that the entrance polls would overestimate Obama and under-estimate Edwards, but that's just random conjecture.

It makes sense.  Edwards is expected to get a huge chunk of the second place votes, and those aren't calculated in the entrance polls.

It looks like Clinton is gaining steadily, Edwards is dropping, and Obama is remaining stagnant.

Clinton better hope she doesn't finish third.

Can anyone imagine a "Clinton scream?"

You gotta hand it to the Iowa Democratic Party.  Their website is running smoothly while the Republican one has already crashed... typical.

If you look at the county by county results, it seems like there's more room for Edwards and Obama to expand their leads over Clinton.... it's really not looking good for her at all.

Well it looks like Edwards is finished.  He had everything riding on winning Iowa, and right now it doesn't appear to be trending in his direction.

If Edwards holds off Clinton and finishes within 2-3 pts of Barack, would you call his campaign dead?  I don't think so b/c he beat the frontrunner.

Yes I would.  Obama is going to get a majority of the publicity over the next week, which will give him momentum going into the New Hampshire primaries.

Edwards needed to win first place.
