a typical white person. Republicans tend to drive cars like BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Toyota SUVs, Cadillac Escalades, or GMC SUVs. Oh, and Hummers. Young Republican girls drive BMW SUVs.

Really? Here, foreign cars seem to be driven by wealthy Asian (meaning liberal) people.

Those cars (in bold) fit more of the stereotypical democrat actually.

Not really. Just people who have sh**t loads of cash, but not a very big peepee.

OMG! THE FORD FUSION! Purple heart Purple heart Purple heart

I drove one while in TN (It was my rental), I loved the car. For the price, anyone could drive it.

The only problem is that it's a Ford and you'll never get much more than 100,000 miles out of the transmission.  (I should know—I lost four Fords that way since I started driving, and will likely never buy another Ford again because of it.)

Who knows? I know a guy that has 210k on his 02 Explorer.

Front wheel drive Fords are atrocious all round.  But the few remaining rear wheel drive ones are much better, and in any case all we have now that GM dropped that sensible platform.

GM has the real-wheen drive 2009 Pontiac G8.

...and you have to remember, its not just when they blow, but how expensive they are to repair. We had a 1998 Subaru Imrpeza Wagon that has 141,000 that we are giving away because the upkeep is so bad.

The trannie on my parents ford blew twice...

err...wait...nah, that works too well...

But ford engines are actually pretty damn reliable...the engines that they put in the ordinary tauruses are good for at least 300k, if only the trannies held up so well.

They don't use old Taurus engines anymore. They have DuraTek 3.0Ls and DuraTek 3.5Ls and 2.4Ls.
