If two straight people kiss in Chelsea or the Castro, nobody is going to scream at them or attack them.  That could absolutely happen to two gay people in many, many places around America.

You do realize that the amount of gay people who are harassed or even outright banned from showing their affection in public far outnumber the reverse, right? And that that reverse number is practically non-existent?

Who here is excusing it? Ironically, you, the most anti-PDA poster here, are the one making a fuss about it. Why does it bother you, of all people?

Because it is less overt. There are no straight pride parades. There is no in your face activity, whether you like it or not. If there were, I'd say the very same thing.

There is literally no way to argue that portrayals of affection in gay relationships in media are more overt or explicit than hetero ones.
