Surprised to see Nixon having a higher approval rating than Branstad because I thought he was really popular in Iowa? Nixon is always quick to declare state of emergencies for the natural disasters and that seems to do him well with the voters here, myself included. He's also a massive FF for taking stands against the extreme right-wing state legislators' ideological bills like the "religious freedom," "personhood," "right to work" fiascos.
