Doesn't the hormones that she/he takes harm the baby?

There's a reason men don't get pregnant... the testosterone would likely damage the fetus.  Unless maybe "he" stops taking them during the pregnancy.

Yes, he stopped taking them. That's why he's pregnant again, so quickly; it makes sense to get all the childbearing done at once before going back on the hormones.

It just goes to show what a farcical placebo "sex change" surgery is. Doctors can mutilate your plumbing until the cows come home but you're still the gender you were born.

Most likely, he didn't have anything done with his "plumbing," because the options for women transitioning to men aren't worth it.

If you met him on the street, not pregnant, and talked with him having no sense he was born a woman, in what sense would he still be the sex he was born? You can't know what the "plumbing" is, all you have is how he presents himself and interacts with you. With many FTMs, you'd never know, except maybe for their height.

We can talk about what sex you "really" are but what does that mean if you interact with the world as a different sex and no one is any the wiser?

FYI, this is why some transpeople are not thrilled with this guy's behavior and others certainly wouldn't be comfortable doing this to their bodies. It would be painful to be read as a woman in any way.

What I think or notice is completely irrelavant. The fact of the matter is that she was born a woman and remains one to this day. The fact that she is pregnant only confirms this fact. If she wants to take hormones and dress like a guy, that's her right, but to claim that she is a man, when she is pregnant, is absurd.

I agree that the pregnancy means he forfeits some ability to be read as a man, and that's his problem and the problem of trans people who go to such great lengths to have their situation understood by people to whom it is new and paradoxical.

Some people really, really want children, I guess, and will make sacrifices to do it.

The surgery involved in going MTF always renders people sterile.

Sincerely believing I'm Napoleon doesn't make me Napoleon. I might identify as Napoleon, I might introduce myself to people as Napoleon, I might walk around dressed as Napoleon, still doesn't make me Napoleon, though. We are who and what we are, regardless of whether we'd prefer to be someone or something else.

That's because Napoleon has been dead for 190 years and someone walking around on the street wearing his hat and speaking French would quite clearly not be him and not be treated like him. Even if he pretended not to understand English or escalators or electricity.

Some transgender people have a very hard time passing, but many do not. I tell you, there are some FTMs you would be absolutely convinced were men, albeit shorter than average, because of how they look and interact. They can convince you they're men, and so if they never let on or talk about their plumbing, how would you ever know? And why would it matter that you did?
