The Oregon numbers should be right at 8PM PST. They're already counting them.

Shrink with the remaining counties then widen as the late votes come in.
Why would the late vote favor Obama? Doesn't Clinton usually win late deciders?

Also, it's pretty interesting that Obama did better among union members than he among non-union members. I guess union endorsements do work.

Late voters in vote-by-mail = Lazy voters

Lazy voters = Young voters

Young voters = Obama voters

It's also apparently 246% counted, which is damn thorough

Oddly, there is no Republican nominee for AG in Oregon, so the winner of the Democratic primary automatically wins in November.

That is Darlene Hooley's district? Is the Dem nominee a good candidate?

Yea, solid moderate State Senator.

Over on the GOP side, in what I think is probably a very weird typo, Hood River is 48% Paul, 36% McCain and 15% write-in.

It is Hood River...

It's opposite Skamania, isn't it? That county which voted for "Uncommitted" in Washington?

Aye. They must have dumped some Hanford waste in the Columbia back in the 50's around there.

Yeah.

I'm not sure if they were legally contradictory (I think that was debated) but in spirit they definitely were, from what I recall.

Yea, one was just the trial lawyers writing the opposite of whatever the doctors wanted. Or visa versa, I can't remember who started it.

Merkley's probably the stronger candidate in the general though, so I'm not too upset.

Novick has connections to the State Legislature, he would do great there. Hopefully he stays involved in some sense.

Something weird happened on the Oregonian's site... they were up to 80% reporting, then went down to 70%, and are now back up to 72%

The fall in ballots counted is because Washington County is listed as 0% reporting for some reason, btw.

Ah. Odd.

Does anyone have final delegate estimates in Oregon?
