Of course they should be legal, as it should be for dog, cat and every other non-endangered animal slaughterhouse.

It's a small win for freedom, but still a win.

Even if it's worse on horses when it's illegal?

Mass produced turkey and chicken should be illegal, not horse meat.
I don't know about that, but they certainly live MUCH sh**ttier lives.

Have we found the rare social issue that has Republicans, Euros and logic on the same side against Democrats and their emotions.

Logic would dictate that regulations are put into place to prohibit so many horses from being bred that they're simply thrown out like garbage when they're elderly.
So how would that work, register every horse with the National Horse Protection Agency?  Hoof print here, DNA swab there, $500million* over there, "show me your papers Mr. Ed Cohen" and magically, horses can return to their place on the pedastal where they deserve to be?  Create some mega horse retirement camp in Florida for the elderly and useless horses?

and feel free to keep insulting me, I'll continue being the bigger man and ignoring it.

*that could go to, I don't know, something more important that you care about?  Edumacation?  Health Care?

I don't really like the idea, no, but I don't have a very well developed opinion on this issue. I do, at least, think society has better uses for horses than eating them.

I see that the there has been a bunch of Yes (D) votes, good job.  I'm still waiting to see one of the "no"s properly defend their vote.
