I do have have a job in politics, so to speak.

More than a decade ago, when I was still at university studying political science, I also had an American poli-sci professor for a couple of semesters. This professor had previously worked in the Congressional Research Service in Washington.

I do have all seven seasons of The West Wing on DVD too. Tongue

Because I'm a nutcase who follows politics all over the globe, and America is a rich source of Anglophone politicking.

That's a good point. Following Italian politics wouldnt be half as easy as it is with American (or British) politics, since I can't read Italian. However, I can read the New York Times.
