2006 - Santorum's record screams right wing extremism!

2012 - Santorum was really left wing, dude!

I love this game.

He's one of the rare cases where both are true*, particularly in today's political climate.  Hence, "Big Government Conservative".

* - He's not "left wing" but his record is far to the left of the Tea Party on spending, unions, etc.  Probably a touch unfair - hard for me to knock a guy for voting in concert with his electorate - but it'll be used against him just the same.

IMO, lots of shared blame to go around during the Bush era.  Hard for me to call out Santorum specifically as every goddamned person was involved in the Big Government feeding frenzy back then.

Well, except one guy.
