And people who are worried about their job security or lack thereof are more likely to get exercised by this issue than those who appreciate cheaper goods.  Thus the anti position remains the more politically potent even if it is the minority view (which varies widely in these surveys).    This is not like the late 1990s where you had a lot more people believing free trade was good for jobs.
