None for me. It was not such a big deal to have AP when I was in HS (graduated 1975). My school district (rated one of the best in the state) opted not to offer AP courses. At my 5-year reunion many of my classmates found they were better prepared for college by taking more classes at the pre-college level than by accelerating college material into HS years.

Expectations are very different now. College curriculum is different, particularly in the intro courses covered by AP. University coursework is now much more like community college in those courses with greater uniformity. Good students do benefit from AP courses in ways they did not 40 years ago. However, recent studies show that weak students who take AP are no better off than students who don't take AP at all in college courses.
