I've always wanted to know this, why do you have the Kenyan flag under your username?

Revisit previous seasons of Update (some have been deleted, fyi), and earlier this season dating back to March 2012 for details of my love for Kenya.

Bushie, will you respond to my PM about breakfast smoothie recipes that you might enjoy?  Contrary to popular Oklahoman belief, atheists do not eat babies and I guarantee you there are no babies in my smoothie recipe.

(but really, it a thing I've been doing for a month and I have tons more energy)

I would like to hear about your breakfast smoothie recipes.

I will only give out my delicious smoothie recipes if Bushie follows through with trying it.

Bushie why are you still defying God's call to go to Africa? It's been 2 years since this powerful declaration from the Lord and you still haven't moved to Kenya

He mentioned 2 years ago he has work left for you in Oklahoma, but it's clear by the lack of job offers that he no longer has work for you in Oklahoma. Time to pack up and head out to the African continent.

One of my favorite jmfcst moments in Update was when he pointed out that this is nothing but a string of Bible quotations paraphrased with statements specific to the situation between them. Say what you will about jmfcst, but he was in fact a voice of reason in regards to Update.

I came to Update after Jim's Fist had be sent off into the wild blue yonder... but I would've truly loved seeing Bushie get grilled by a literalist who knows his stuff.

EDIT: although his sock cameos have been amazing.

I love how Bushie gets lettuce, no tomato on bacon burgers but tomato, no lettuce on BLTs. I'm sure there's a system behind it too!

I would have put lettuce on the sandwich making it a true BLT, but I have no lettuce.

Doesn't matter.  There isn't anything in lettuce.

Put this in the dumb Bushie file:

I had crackers and cheese for a little snack earlier using the sliced cheese singles that I bought last fall, but never threw away.  My stomach is cramping up big time right now so I got to looking at the expiration date and it said November 2, 2014!!! Almost 4 months!!!  Needless to say the rest of the cheese is going in the trash tomorrow when I can take it to the dumpster...

Ehhhh... Should make for some productive dumps.  Be sure to weigh in post-Apocalypse.

Dear Friend,

Will you be watching the opening match of the Champions League kickoff today at 1:45:00 PM Central? I know you surely won't be venturing outside as Tulsa is experiencing some extreme cold. It might be good for you to curl up with some fine Oklahoma wine and four month old cheese to watch a match. Baby steps to a healthier lifestyle!

Gasp!

ODF would never think to pollute the sacred temple God has granted him with such filth.

Bushie, I know you are eating less but this stuff is all still crap.  Maybe the Mexican and chili wouldnt be if you loaded it with veggies but we know you didn't.  I can't even imagine how nutrient-deprived you are right now.  Are you still taking the multivitamin?

This is weird... Twice today, there has been a News on 6 vehicle (Tulsa CBS affiliate) at my end of the apartment complex.  I believe they're still there now.  I have heard no shots or no commotion outside and there have been no emergency vehicles, and I have not seen the apartment management back on this end.  I will definitely be watching News on 6 at 1700 to see what's going on.  Peculiar.  Very Peculiar.

Does our esteemed colleague Eraserhead have grounds to sue if CBS tries to pilfer Update from the Atlas Broadcasting Network?

Maybe he was just blaring the volume from the PSG-Chelsea match and couldn't hear what went down.

I'm not sure broadcasts of soccer (or P*$$y F** Commie Football as it is known in ODF's native land) are legal in Oklahoma.

Probably nappin.

Bushie's favorite food is bread. The meat and cheese inside it is just an added garnish

No.  Bushie favorite food is grease and all that extra is the sponge.

I just found out why I saw the News on 6 vehicles in my apartment complex.  They were doing a story on PSO Electric installing smart meters around Tulsa and my apartment complex being the first customers to receive the meters.

Wow!  What a flashback to ONG!  The writers are on their game!

The interview today didn't turn up anything other than the promise to help me look.  I was very distraught and very discouraged.  At 1600 this evening, I found a recruiter in Oklahoma City who wants to talk to me this Monday at 1100 and then right after that I got call and I have an interview with an actual company tomorrow at 1300.  That is two things in the next 5 days.  I will be going down to my parents on Friday for the weekend and come back Monday evening after the interview.

How many family dinners this weekend, Bushie?

The Bible says it will wipe out a third of mankind - over 2 billion people. I highly doubt the war will stay in the Eastern Hemisphere.  It has the probability of spreading into the West.

2 billion people don't live in the West. 5.5 of our 7 billion people live in Asia and Africa.

It amazing how clueless he is.

Fantastic episode btw.

all of this trumpet nonsense makes me glad yet again that im an atheist.

superstition.  pure and simple.

Literally every religious poster in this thread is making fun of Bushie for this nonsense. It has nothing to do with religiouses vs. atheists.

Yea, but I get what Walter is saying.  I also like being reminded that I don't have to deal with all this hogwash.

I'm not going to answer any more questions on this matter.  For my thoughts on Pope Francis, check out earlier seasons of the Update, I explained it there.  We had a good discussion, and I'm not trying to get out of it, but I need to spend the next couple of hours preparing for my interviews today.

Let me close the discussion by saying this.  What I said last night is just what I believe.  Everyone is free to believe what they want to believe about the end time.  Nobody knows exactly what is going to happen.  You have the right to disagree with me and I'm not going to say you're right or wrong.  The truth of the matter is it doesn't affect one's relationship with Jesus Christ which is the most important thing in the life of every person in the world.  The book of Revelation and the interpretation thereof, is what I like to call a tertiary issue.  It's a third tier issue that has no bearing on the grand scheme of things.  God's going to do what He's going to do.  I will believe how I believe and everybody else is free to interpret it how they want to interpret it.

Bushie will you stop?  I'm an atheist.  I have no relationship with Jesus.  I don't give two [Inks] about Jesus.  So not only is this statement literally wrong it is insanely dismissive of the billions of people who are not Christians.  It's also baffling that you grant us that people can disgaree with you, but then claim Jesus is the most important thing in everyone's life.

Well, he "cheated" with a couple Braum's visits this week, and this weekend it's family dinner time with Ma and Pa so he wouldn't want to be rude and NOT get the quadruple angus bacon cheeseburger with bacon.

HockeyDude side note:

I must say Madeleine.  The way you portray yourself as so intellectually superior when it comes to matters Biblical is astounding in many ways.

HockeyDude is getting set for a Bushie Sunday!  I'll watch a speech by Chris Hitchens which should be done by 1200, then I'll be settling in for NBC Sports Hockey Day In America!  Washington Capitals @ Philadelphia Flyers at 1230 EST, Boston Bruins @ Chicago Blackhawks at 1530 EST, and finally Columbus Blue Jackets @ New York Rangers at 1930 EST!  I might try to fit in a quick workout between the Chicago and New York games, but I haven't decided, yet.

It's obviously too cold to leave the house and walk outside.  Going to the grocery store to get any food for dinner tonight is out of the question, as "flurries" make the roads impassable.  Does Braum's deliver?

He won't drive to the interview, but flurries won't stop a McDee's run!

Good Sunday Morning!  I woke up with a pretty large headache so I am staying home from church this morning.  The two main things I am going to watch today are the 2015 Daytona 500 on FOX at 1200 and the Denver Nuggets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder on Fox Sports Oklahoma at 1800.  I will resume the water drinking today.  I've got to behave myself today as I did take a peek of the scale today and it had jumped to 288 which is up 2 1/2 pounds from where I was Friday morning.  In between the Great American Race and the Thunder game, I will put on a coat and take a walk.

No Hockey Day In America? 😢

When I was hanging out with BRTD yesterday we talked about BushOklahoma. This gave me a terrifying realization that just as BRTD was a real person standing in front of me, Bushie was also a real person out there somewhere. This is terrifying.

Indeed.  I visualize people based on their avatars, and the thought of some posters being real people (ss super flash, bronz, OC, solarstorm2012) is truly horrifying.

If NYE posts a pic I might have to leave.

ODF misses more church than any church goer I know. Probably a few flurries kept him away. Pussy.

Now Uncle Gramps, he had at least a Grade 6, too.  How can one navigate a treacherous flurry while dealing with a Grade 6?
