Houston os, by all accounts, less than ideal. But a good, resume-enhancing, well-paying job is nothing to be sneezed at. I'd say yes, and make a firm commitment to myself to have a clear end-date on my time there, no matter what. After, say, 2 years, you'll have the experience to apply for similar jobs back in the northeast, that probably would be difficult to acquire today, especially in tge US economy.
