I didn't mean it literally, you dolt.

It's so hard to be tongue-in-cheek on the internet.

Hey--- chill dude.... I was trying the same, but not as brilliant with the emoties like some you young folk.... It was a joke, and you should take it as such. Smiley

The guy obviously is doing lots of cocaine based on his Twitter feed, so all that needs to be done is have it arranged so that he gets a tainted batch.

Will it be Trump or the Russians that deliver?

The really scary thing, is that on this very thread we have multiple individuals calling for assassination and murder of an individual and even multiple individuals to pursue an explicit domestic political agenda.

Most likely these are "just jokes", but there is a very real history of the US Government assassinating or attempting to murder foreign leaders and civilians from the 1950s through the early 1970s, when it was banned by a Democratic Congress after the Church hearings in the post-watergate era.

Quite frankly, if this is how a new generation of Clinton Democrats that can't even grow a beard, let alone need to buy a razor actually think and believe, I want no part of that party.

Threatening and encouraging violence is not amusing at all in any way shape or form, and quite frankly is disgusting, and while a ton of "Red Avatars" appear to think this amusing, it is anything but.

I am starting to rethink my opinion of the Millennial generation, and now these types of statements encourages the stereotypes of a bunch of spoiled brats, living in their parents basement, playing way too many violent video games....

I do not believe that Assange is any type of hero, and have major issues with Snowden as well, but really.... y'all are acting like a bunch of spoiled frat boys, even many of you whose opinions I respect on many other matters

Murder and assassination is not a joke.... it is a sin, even in the eyes of a long time atheist like myself.

I have many Vietnam Vet friends that survived, lost friends in Iraq, and now I need to read this crap.

There are plenty of other internet forums that welcome trolls, usually of the alt-right nature where these types of sentiments are common.

For real??? "Have you no decency Sirs"Huh?

Looking forward to your pearl-clutching when Assange is found facedown in his cornflakes on January 21st, 2017!

Would likely be at the hands of Russian Intelligence agencies.... namely the SVR.

That being said, for anyone that wants a history lesson in US Government political assassinations, here's a decent length clip from the Congressional hearings regarding assassinations from back in 1975 when Idaho had a Democratic Senator who ran hearings and aired the dirty secrets of the CIA during the early days of the Cold War....

I have a feeling the build up is going to result in whatever this is being a flop.

Like most of the sane people are saying on this thread (aside from assassination jokes), there is nothing to see here folks....

The October surprise has already arrived courtesy of Trump's taxes, and some random hacker dude chilling in the Ecuadorian embassy in London because of charges from Sweden and their sexual consent law will not change that.

I have no doubt that there aren't other hacked documents that will be released, and as you said it will be a total bust, at most a two day blip in the news cycle likely overshadowed by yet another Trump meltdown that will cost him another week when he is currently down 3-4% and crucial swing states are starting to look precarious.

So your thought here is 'Trump is such a scumbag. If he gets to power he could be like Putin. Putin is a terrible fascist who does things like kill journalists he doesn't like'

There might be a scoop coming out that would be damaging to Clinton

'Quick, lets kill a journalist we don't like. We don't want to risk the Presidency of a man who might possibly do things like kill journalists he doesn't like'

Assange isn't a journalist. He's a pasty coward who should be in jail for rape.
The two categories are not necessarily exclusive of one another. Just because you think he's a terrible person, even if he really is a terrible person, doesn't mean that he's not a journalist, clearly he is.

He isn't even remotely a journalist. Posting hacked documents online is not journalism. Journalism is actually writing articles.

I wasn't joking. He is an enemy of the state and should be dealt with accordingly.

This is, actually, despicable. Deplorably despicable. You should be voting Trump.

I take personal offense to that as someone that reads your posts with a certain degree of respect. Where do you draw the line?

Wherever I draw the line, I draw it firmly enough not to become a Trumpista.

You are confusing my vehemence against Trump and his supporters with the desire to go after them. Nothing could be further away from my intentions. My liberalism may be intolerant, but it remains liberalism, as long as the person I am most afraid of is myself. However much I am afraid of Trump and his supporters, wishing to unleash the power of state violence against those not themselves guilty of violence is something that is deeply wrong. When it starts, it does not stop where you want it to stop.

Whether Assange is right or wrong in what he is doing, is beside the point here. He has done nothing to justify violence against him. He is not even guilty of such old scarecrows as treason or espionage. Leave the guy alone. If the Swedes have something real against him, it is the business of the Swedish justice system. So far, nobody else has accused him of anything actionable.

I totally agree on this... regardless of his innocence or guilt when it comes to the criminal rape charges from Sweden, he is NOT a US national, and so far as I am aware has not yet been charged for any crimes within the US judicial system.

As I said earlier, there is absolutely NO excuse for US citizens to be calling for the murder of foreign nationals, let alone state sponsored actions of murder, without some solid s**t that those individuals are active agents of imminent terrorist attacks against America, and that that is the only way to bring criminals to justice.

Calling for murder of computer hackers and leakers of info from hacker sources certainly does not deserve a death sentence....

Snowden would have much more sympathy had he just taken the licks for the leaks instead of fleeing to Russia. Assange would have much more sumpathy worldwide had there not been the sexual assault charges from Sweden.

It is what it is, but if you believe that the US government should execute a foreign national for hacking charges, because you're pissed about his "Clinton Leaks" you appear to be deranged sir.

I'm on your side here NOVA, but you know it's wrong to blame the whole millennial generation for how some people act on Atlas, lol. Go and check those 18-29 primary voting numbers again. Most people in that age group are NOT militant Clinton supporters, not even close.

Thanks Pres Tilden---

I did go a little OTT last night on this one, but it was from a fundamental point of principle regarding assassination of foreign nationals, simply for leaking hacked materials.

Maybe, sometimes I just don't have a sense of humor on this issue, let alone some of the "half-joking" statements I have seen on the forum from supporters of both major political parties, as well as minor party supporters condoning physical violence *as part of the 2016 Presidential Election* ....

I get that sometimes we have "joke threads" and people just let off some steam, and I probably overreacted a bit to certain comments that were likely intended as sarcasm and humor (Or even more scary some of the comments might have been meant in all seriousness).

No, I do not blame Millennials for the ills of America, with five children of that generation, not to mention their spouses/partners/friends, including those that served under the flag overseas, my friend Eric that died in Iraq outside of Taji/Camp Cooke on 6/13/14.

I officially and personally apologize to any Millennials on this board that I have offended with my comments that were over the top and insulting to the largest generation of Americans....

My belief still stands that calling for the murder and assassination of foreign nationals not involved in terrorist and/or active combat against American forces serving overseas is not acceptable, and will take us back to the dark ages of the 1950s-1980s, which took us decades to rebuild in Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.

So is this "drone Assange pls" thing supposed to be the big campaign-ending bombshell?

lol

No.  Whatever the "bombshell" is probably drops around 3-4AM Eastern Time tomorrow.

Why are we assuming there will be a bombshell and not just something anniversary related?

We don't know, which is why I put "bombshell" in quotes.  Roger Stone hinted at the Clinton campaign being over on Wednesday, but he's prone to exaggerate.  Drudge is also hinting at something.  More here.

If Assange is worried about an assassination attempt, it will likely be at the hands of Russian Intelligence agencies that have a history of murder, even in the heart of London.

Or it could just be, that he keeps getting fed hacked docs from the Russians, in order to attempt to gain international sympathy and buy time before the Ecuadoran government kicks him out of the embassy, in which case he will face trail in Sweden.

Quite frankly, this all seems like a bunch of BS and completely irrelevant to the current Presidential election.
