Ugh I wish Hoeven hadn't run for senate so that he could run for president and give Christie a chance to establish his creds more. I would like to see him run, but I think New Jersey needs him too much right now. So at the moment we are stuck with a field of Republicans only slightly better than 1996.

If he wasn't from the northeast, Romney might have considered him as a VP running mate in 2012.

Actually it might be good for the Republicans to nominate an all Northeastern ticket in 2012, just like it was good for the Democrats to nominate an all Southern ticket in 1992.
