What about Lincoln and Grant? True, Lincoln was killed, but he WAS elected to the second term. In essence, Johnson's term was truly Lincoln's, the Congress reminded him of that too Wink  Then Grant, of course, was elected to two terms.

Johnson didn't serve two terms though. So even if Nixon didn't resign, there would not have been two Presidents serving a full 2 terms right next to each other.
