Jefferson in 2010! If Jim Traficant can run from his jail cell, why not Bill?

The Louisiana Constitution theoretically doesn't allow convicted felons to run from office while behind bars.  Whether that would apply to a federal office with no such constitutional requirement is an interesting question.

Philip can tell you more about this than I can, but I am pretty sure that the states cannot impose requirements on candidates for Congress additional to those laid out in the Constitution.
