I don't see a thread on this, but there have been a rash of knife-wielding maniacs falling to police bullets here in San Francisco. The result has been five people going on hunger strike in protest. The hunger strikers are in the hospital now, but their supporters raided City Hall.

Fortunately, Mayor Lee and Chief Suhr have been standing firm in opposition to these protests. The police can stand to reform, but they must not bow to the pressure of people who won't even respect the rule of law.
