The Pacific could have gone without not having a Governor for 11 more hours.

The relevant information was sent at the top of a PM on the 25th of October and also had this link right below said information:

I'd imagine, the biggest reason for the economic slide, continuing slide there is the same as if we had actually defaulted in 2011 in RL. The stability factor or lack thereof in gov't and by extension the resulting interest rate fluctuations (by way of the bond market), have an overriding economic impact because it halts or prevents rational economic decision making. In an environment of complete chaos, the decisions are not made or made in the most cautious way possible and thus growth is hampered. Only the most high risk and/or profiteering enterprises can function and those are often short term and not beneficial to the community. Ironic, considering this the most left-wing region going.

A govt's first responsibility of government in terms of the economy must be to manage and behave itself in such a way as to not contibute towards creating more chaos.

That was probably the most stunning comeback since Oakvale staved off defeat. Congrats on your victory. Smiley
