While most likely annoying, at least that is more productive than sleeping off the hangovers attained on Friday like most are probably doing right now, which is in turn probably more productive then what I am doing/going to be doing at present/soon. Wink

Sponsor Feedback: None Given
Status: A vote in 24 hours if none is given. IF I am not on when this ends, I ask the VP to open it for me unless TNF responds with a friendly judgement, then just call 24 hours on objections.

I PMed the VP asking him to open this vote if I am not on when the minimum debate time expires. Since I am on right now, chances are I won't be.

AYE

As for the next amendment, I am most certainly opposed to it. And as for the stipend, it seems like it would be an expensive way to cover a hole created this no work provision, especially when we are trying to effect the minimum income guarrantee.

4-5-0-1 with Xahar not voting.

If he doesn't vote by tomorrow. I might just change my vote to end this one. I wouldn't want a completely wide open thing here anyway, but instead have restrictions and limitations and so forth on how much work they can do.

It actually ended just four hours ago. I was planning to end it when I started the Drug bill amendment vote, but that is still not been on the floor long enough.

Vote on Amendment 57:18 by TNF:

Aye (3): Gass3268, TNF and Xahar
Nay (5): Maxwell, NC Yankee, sbane, TJ in Cleve, and Tmthforu94
Abstain (0):

Didn't Vote (2): bore (two hours late) and Napoleon

With five votes in the negative, the amendment has been rejected.

I started that vote 28 minutes too early. For some reason I keep looking at the wrong posts when checking time stamps lately.

NAY

Nay

Doesn't this outlaw things like craft sales or lemonade stands?

It outlaws things like 14 and 15 year olds working at McDonald's, which, as a former McDonald's employee, I can tell you does happen. Existing labor law allows employment at age 14 and only explicitly bans persons from working in factories before 16, as far as the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 is concerned, iirc.

If you want that to be the case rather than craft sales or lemonade stands being banned, then I hope exceptions for family businesses would be more welcome now.

I wouldn't have a problem with an exception provided it was limited in case of the rare  circumstance of the family coal mine or something like that.

I for one am pleased to be associated with a figure as illustrious as Napoleon. Did you know that he received the most votes in Atlasian history? It's something he's really modest about, but it's true.
