1814 from an ad for a runaway slave published by Jackson:

“If taken (that is, captured) out of state, the above reward ($50), and all reasonable  expenses paid – and ten dollars extra, for every hundred lashes any person will give him, to the amount of three  hundred.”

Truly a monstrous act of cruelty in the annals of Presidential history.

Other Presidents were slave owners, but I am not aware than any other slave owner President was as cruel and sadistic to his slaves as was Jackson.

A portrait of slaver Jackson deserves to be hung in the Hall of Shame, not put on the $20 bill.

Actually, Jackson was a Republican long before he was a Democrat, Winfield. However, I don't appreciate you undoing my moderation of your trolling.

Sorry, perhaps I was a bit verbose in my presentation of this topic, however, I was simply attempting to convey my opinion in this matter.

Perhaps a better way  for me to have presented this issue, so as not to be thought of as trolling

This is a terrible act of cruelty that nobody has the right to inflict on another.

Jackson should never have been given the honor of having his portrait appear on the $20 bill.

His portrait belongs in the Hall of Shame.

I disagree. Keep in mind, the man did hate banks. Wink

Oh, what an absolutely diabolical plot to punish Jackson for his misdeeds of the past, putting his picture on U.S. currency.

Ha Ha!
