Al Gore wins in 2000 by carrying New Hampshire.
President Gore pursues war in Afghanistan after 9/11, but does not go to war in Iraq.
The economy tanks during the 2008 election campaign, as in real life.
The election is between McCain/Palin and Obama/Biden.
After 8 years of Democrat Gore, the war continuing in Afghanistan, and an economic meltdown during the campaign..........
Would we now be looking at President Elect McCain instead of President Elect Obama?
