Jumping in here, my hopes in regarding to the opening message is for it to be a bit more detailed; a condensed version of the Welcome to Atlasia thread, so to speak.

I think there's so many aspects of the game, people won't really know what to ask. I've welcomed people to the game before, and after I ask if they have any questions, I usually get no reply. That's why I think we should just up-front provide them with the information.

Geez, this is more of a "scare the new member" committee, especially if we send them the letter Jake wrote up. Something that intense may turn off prospective members.
If that's what this committee decides to send out it'd completely defeat the purpose I had in this committee.

Dear Mr. Vice President,

Considering recent sudden decision made by the President to severe every contact with me, I believe I have to consider this as my dismissal from this committee.

Sincerely.
I'm not going to dismiss anyone who wants to make progress in this committee. I never would have appointed you in the first place if I had to base appointments on who I like/dislike.

I just told you if you really want this committee to be beneficial and want to help, you're more than welcome to stay. If not, quit, and I'll find someone else who will be dedicated to it.

Grow up and start acting like President.
You are in no position to tell anyone to grow up. I've acted far more responsible and mature on this site than you ever will.

Since apparently Kalwejt is not interested in serving on this committee, there is now an opening on the Welcoming Committee. Please pm myself or Dallasfan if interested.

For the record, I'm not going to take a hostile stance toward administration based of our mutual dislike. I'd suggest the same for you.
There should be a "your" inserted between "toward" and "administration".

I feel like Tmth really enjoys contracting out work. If I were in his position I wouldn't just set up this little committee and kick back hoping they get everything done. He proposed the idea during the campaign, he should've had something to help get it off the ground.
You clearly have no clue what is going on here...

I set this committee in motion with an executive action. I personally sought out members to be on the committee. And since there isn't a lot for the VP to do (I'm sure Kalwejt would attest), I let Dallasfan lead the committee. But even though I'm not leading it, I'm still very involved in the process of it, bringing in my input. I've done anything but "kick back hoping they get everything done". I've taken more initiative on it than anyone else.

For Reference:
Executive Action

Fulfilling a campaign pledge, I'm proud to announce the creation of the "Welcoming Committee". This committee will be responsible for welcoming new members to the game, as well as showing them the rules of the game, and as Purple State once suggested, mentoring them. A more definite set of guidelines will be put in place once we have member for this committee. Which brings me to paragraph two....

I'm looking for a member of each party (JCP, RPP, UDL, POP) to volunteer to serve on this committee. Dallasfan and I will also participate in the committee. Anyone who is interested in serving on this committee please contact me ASAP.

Thank you,
President Tmthforu94

Executive Action

I want to thank everyone who applied to serve on the Welcoming Committee. Smiley I'm pleased to appoint the following individuals:
Kalwejt, representing the JCP
Cathcon, representing the RPP
WisconsinGurl, representing the UDL
Jake Matthews, representing the POP
HappyWarrior, representing everyone else Wink

The committee will primarily be led by Vice President Dallasfan65. More details are soon to come.

Thank you,
President Tmthforu94

Bump.

What I guess needs to be decided is whether or not there should be a standard message sent to every new member, or whether every committee member should write up their own, just covering certain points outlined.

Bump.

I began feeling that I should start doing my job today as a member of the welcoming committee. I PMed CarlSchulz, a new member who is in the RPP.

Good job, Cathcon. Smiley

We really need to decide some set guidelines that need to be included in the message. Some suggestions:
- Activity Requirements for Voting
- Link to their regional and party Wiki pages
- Possibly name of party chairman
- Link to introduction thread
