Mcain.  A war hero and better than obama by a million miles but definately not a conservative.  If we could have had a choice between the ultra leftist obama and true conservative, obama would have lost.
The Republican party would be much worse if a "conservative" got the nomination, because it would have been a landslide victory for Obama. McCain also helped Republicans in many local races as well. And, if your vote is based on who is the "least conservative" why the heck would you vote for McCain over Rudy Giuliani?

So you do not consider Romney to be a conservative?
Romney is between Conservative and Moderate. He would have lost to Obama. I know that. It was a bad atmoshphere for just about any Republican. Colin Powell might have made it interesting, but he supported Obama, so that was out of the question.

Hmm, since this rounds closer, I'd better vote since I'm declaring my vote as tie-breaker.
This is tough.

Last round, Ron Paul was eliminated. It came down to a tie, so my vote was the deciding vote. Others who came close to elimination were Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani, and Duncan Hunter.

Please read the first post. You are supposed to vote for the BEST CANDIDATE, not the worst. I know it's not how most on here do it, but I'm actually following how Survivor does it.
