The 50s would of been a mixed bag for me. On one hand there was Eisenhower who had some good and some bad and was successful at both, and on the other hand there was Stevenson who was mostly good but I probably would of had doubts first time around as to if he could pull them off. Plus ending Korea would of been a primary issue in 52. 56 I could probably gone either way really, but I would probably of been relatively impressed with Eisenhower's civil rights stances (especially compared to everyone whom came before) and would of wanted to reward good behavior on that.
