I will aim to actively advise both the legislative and executive branches whenever they require advice on legal matters.

I will actively pursue a reform of criminal laws to remedy matters that arose in the Walterstein case. I will also be exploring a more structured legal profession - possibly creating a Supreme Court bar (though this will require consultation with the court obviously), and a formal list of "lawyers" willing to serve as court appointed lawyers in criminal cases.

There is clearly a few areas that need to be addressed after Walterstein:

1. The issue of determination of where a crime is committed for jury purposes - I feel that this ought to be settled statutorily, if only to remove the matter completely from doubt.

2. The issue of moderator action - the court ruled that various moderator actions are not admissable without a warrant. I think the various rules surrounding this ought to be clarified: I will certainly be seeking a rule that states that moderators can approach the Justices secretly in order that a poster who is particularly malicious would not know that he was actively under investigation. I will also be looking into other codification of this process.
