I completed my summer trial advocacy course yesterday with a mock trial. I won’t go into detail, but I put on quite a performance. I played witnesses (doing accents), did an incredibly confrontational cross examination, and wrote a banger closing statement. We got a hung jury, but since I was the prosecution I’m ok with that. Mostly I just wanted to publicly humiliate a particular person I hate on opposing counsel, which I accomplished. Afterwards numerous people were telling me I should be a litigator.
Did you draw on any racist stereotypes for your performance?
