it is an interesting question:  how does bushie determine whether a country is 'civilized?'

Heathens? The Pacific Islands are already overwhelmingly Christian. By a far greater percentage than the US is.

catholics are christians too.  how does bushie feel about them?

the fact is that pacific islanders arent southern baptists.  so.  they are by definition heathens.

The job is done. I'm not buying his story that most of his coworkers live 30+ miles from work. That's not plausible. What really happened is that he asked for the day off because of the weather and the boss not only gave him today off but the rest of his life also. Back to the call center!

it cant be good news that his boss is giving him all of this time off.  he has been through this routine before.  r.i.p.

i bet that earlier this week bushie was whining to his boss about the prospects of wintry weather today.  his boss just told him to stay home...one less person to pay.

by the way, temps were near 40 in the okc today.  doubtful that the roads were like skating rinks.

Today definitely surprised everybody.  The temperature rose a lot faster than expected this morning.  My boss gave everybody the day off also as a nice gesture since it will be our last chance to use this liberal leave policy for a long time.  We've got work start to flow in with deadlines not too far away.  Everything we had could wait until Monday, but it can't wait any longer.  The liberal leave policy he's held the past two months will likely come to a screeching halt come Monday.  The next company holiday is Memorial Day, nearly 5 months away.

giving you yet another day off *without pay* is a nice gesture?

yes.  bushie should note anytime the following are used to describe food it means the food is terribly unhealthy: 'country', 'old fashioned', 'down-home', 'southern.'
