I wasn't sure where to put this question so I'm putting it here (feel free to move if you think it belongs somewhere else).

My question is if California, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii formed a new nation,

i) What do you think the name of this nation should be?

ii) Where should its capital be?

iii) What would be the major political parties and who would be its first president?

SF would be the default capital, I think.

Interesting!  What about questions (i) and (iii)?  Any ideas? Smiley

Why on earth would Washington and Oregon want to be yoked to (and vastly outvoted by) California and its dysfunctionality?

It's a hypothetical scenario.
