That's the type of attitude the Republicans are mocked for having. The truth of the matter is that you can't get everything you want whenever you want. If you want to send a message, fine, but the Democratic party is and will always be the party of incremental change and consensus. You can take your ball and go home, but real people face real problems now, and even if the solution isn't the perfect one, it's still in their best interest to get a solution rather than an idealogical tantrum.
