If he can make margins this big in these states + CA + most of the remaining states -MD and NY, then we might be onto something.

Maybe if those states were caucuses, but they are primaries.

Also, these states aren't +90% white.

Sanders being competitive in Puerto Rico, winning California by 70%, Clinton agreeing to a debate hosted by the Young Turks.
But hey, whoever calls Berniebots delusional trolls is a hack.

If Sanders wins CA by the margin he's winning WA, then he'll have a chance. Wink

The demographics of CA are very different, though. He'll dominate the Bay Area, however

Exactly. I was implying that there was no way it would happen. He might win CA, but it would be a narrow win, which isn't what he needs.

California's Democratic electorate will be more than 50% non-white. Good luck winning with that.

They don't have the population, but they sure as hell have the delegates. Sanders just made up over 500,000 vote deficit from Florida today.

Im just gonna put you on ignore. Oh wait, I can't because your a moderator. Torie with his conspiracy theories, Tender Branson with his racism, you with your hysterics. I'm just gonna come back here when Hillary is sworn in, alright?

Seriously, Likely Voter is the only level headed one still here right now.

And Mr. Morden.

And, unlike Bernie's college student base, actually vote in midterm elections as well. Reorienting the party towards young people is stupid.

Nobody said college students, Comrade Funk said labor, a group that does vote in midterms.

Well good thing labor unions have overwhelmingly endorsed Clinton then.

There is a difference between union leaders and everyday union members. That being said the International Longshore and Warehouse Union just endorsed Sanders.

Clinton won union members in every state. Even Michigan.

Such a reverse sweep isn't happening and you know it. NY, PA, CA, MD, DE and NJ aren't 90%+ White so Bernie won't win there. I don't give a sh*t about Clinton losing Alaska, Montana or Idaho lol.

Alaska is only 62% non Hispanic white. Bernie is probably winning the Native population big time.

Sanders has never had a problem winning Native American voters in the primaries.

I haven't looked at precinct data, but she won Apache and Navajo counties like huge margins in Arizona, both heavily Native American.

How dare you dispute jfern's gut feeling with numbers?

I think all states should have primaries. And, I think if Washington Republicans can have a primary for delegates, Democrats should certainly do so as well. I would hope this is something the party can work on for the future once we have our nominee.

Agreed, but it sounds like the Washington Caucus is relatively new. Used to be a primary, but they switched.

Huh?  Caucuses have existed in Washington for many years, it's just that there's also a primary.  The Republicans have sometimes split the delegate allocation between caucuses and primary, but I don't think the primary has been used for delegate allocation on the Dem. side for a while.

According to Rachel Maddow's show, Republicans switched from a caucus to a primary after Pat Robertson won the Washington caucuses in 1988.

In 2008 and 2012 they had a caucus.

I know it doesn't have implications for other states, but Sanders obviously won among minorities here in WA. We'll see if he can do it in HI. Wink
It seems Sanders does better with Hispanics in more Liberal States then Hispanics in more Conservative ones, maby good news for Sanders in California.

No, Sanders does better with minorities (and every other voting segment) in caucuses.

I've noticed that 538 isn't covering these contests. Why no love for the Pacific states, Nate? Sad
538 dislikes Sanders. They think the Dem contest is already over and show more interest in the GOP race because Trump.

lol. They don't "dislike Sanders", they just accept the reality that the race is over.

lol. Sanders gets landslide victories in Idaho, Utah, Alaska, Washington, with likely victories in Hawaii and Wisconsin.

THE RACE IS OVER, NOTHING TO LOOK AT FOLKS.

Clinton won landslide victories in West Virginia, Kentucky, Puerto Rico and upset Obama in Indiana, South Dakota.
Why do people insist the race is over???

For the anti-caucus crowd, if you got your way and caucuses were done away with, would you make an exception for Iowa?  There is a lot of tradition there, and they do a good job managing it.

No. No exceptions. I've participated in the Iowa caucuses. And though going to the county and district conventions was kind of fun and interesting to a political junkie like m'self, in the end, the terrible starting process is not worth it.

Not to mention the fact that even though the Iowa caucus was well run it only had a turnout of 15.7% of those eligible to vote. Overall, in 2008, 29% of those eligible across the country voted, so even one of the best run caucuses in the nation couldn't break that very low threshold.

Caucuses are inherently undemocratic and disenfrachise entire segments of the voting population. That's why they always favor extreme candidates from both sides of the political spectrum, whether it's Pat Robertson and Ted Cruz or Bernie Sanders and Jesse Jackson.

To be the wife of one of the most beloved progressives of all time and to fail to utterly sweep the primary is troubling, and it's a sign that the clinton third-wayism is on its way out, new deal politics back in!

Now, what's wrong with this picture?

So was New Hampshire. Sanders will still win ND by about 60-40, not that it will change anything.

Everybody mention North Dakota is a caucus. I just corrected it.
WTF that has to do with New Hampshire and Sanders dude?

Source? The NYT and Ballotpedia says it's a caucus.

It's on the wikipedia page about the 2016 Democratic primaries.

My fb feed is filled with "BERNIE ABOUT TO BEAT THE SHRILL"

"THE WITCH IS DEAD AFTER TONIGHT"

Ugh

You see, Trump is not the only off-color campaign in the race.  Other candidates have questionable supporters, too.

TRUMP supporters and Berniebots are very much alike.
