Andrew Cuomo, D-NY

June 3, 2015 - Ethics Help Pull New York Gov. Cuomo To New Low, Quinnipiac University Poll Finds; Voters Say 2-1 Clean House To Clean Up Albany

Low grades on his handling of ethics help sink New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to his lowest approval rating ever, a divided 44 - 42 percent, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.

This compares to a 50 - 39 percent job approval rating in a March 18 survey by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University.

PPP, Ohio.

Kasich has yet to officially announce his candidacy, yet he leads Hillary Clinton 47/40 in the state. This is a testament to Kasich’s popularity in the state- he has a 49/35 approval, a number that is 72/11 among Republicans.

Ugly. If this is true, then the 2008 election in Indiana may not be such a freakish event as it has seemed in the last three elections. Except for Kentucky, the neighboring states seem to have a long-term D drift. Indiana may be more rural than Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, or such somewhat-comparable states as Iowa and Wisconsin -- but a strong regional trend could pull Indiana away from being reliably R.

Unfo0rtunately this is a poll of favorability, so I can't score it. It's hard to see any incumbent having a good chance of winning re-election with a 34% favorability.

The last time that Indiana went Democratic in an election that the Republicans won (sort of)  was in 1876.

Kansas, Sam Brownback by Fort Hays State University. The language looks close enough in meaning to approval (satisfaction):

5% very satisfied
13% somewhat satisfied
13% neutral
21% somewhat dissatisfied
48% very dissatisfied

https://www.fhsu.edu/uploadedFiles/executive/docking/Kansas%20Speaks%20Report%202015%20.pdf

Awful!

For a contrast, here's how Barack Obama is seen in Kansas, same poll:

11% very satisfied
17% somewhat satisfied
8% neutral
15% somewhat dissatisfied
48% very dissatisfied

I don't know why you put the MN data on there and then took it off again...

Dayton's approval, as far as I can tell, remains 54%

I don't know why Governor Dayton's approval number disappeared, either. That sounds right. Correction made here:

Rauner, Walker & Brandstad approvals are torrid and important for Dems chance 2016-2018.

I think that you mean "horrid".

See also Scott in Florida. Florida is the biggest of all swing states.
