Given that the Republican Governor of the state could soon be the running mate of Trump it's probably not a bad idea.

Bayh is one of those who was touted around 2005 as a possible 2008 Dem presidential nominee...because back then only a moderate, white and inoffensive swing-state politician could possibly have won the WH for the Dems in 2008....
