I’d like to formally announce that I will be seeking election to the Northeastern Senate seat in June.

What can I promise to the citizens of the Northeast?

I promise that I will work every bit as hard in the Senate as I have in the Assembly. I’ve sponsored (and gotten passed) several pieces of legislation in the Assembly. I’ve always contacted legislators ahead of time with my bills, to ensure I was securing support and not wasting valuable time in the session. Though only having recently taken the position, I take the job of Speaker very seriously.
What will I do in the Senate?

I will work hard with the current Senate, as an independent thinker, to tackle the problems that currently face Atlasia. I will work to find common ground with Senators that differ vastly in opinion from me. I would be interested in reviving the budget, though with Purple State’s possible vacancy in June, the chance of that coming to fruition may be a distant memory once more.

Finally, I hope that my candidacy dispels all notion that all new posters are I would contend that I’m an example of a new Atlasian hitting the ground running, and I’d like newer members to come to follow such an example.

If you are elected, I'd like to work with you in trying to revive the budget process. I think it can be done even if we lose PS as GM.

Though a greater difficulty than PS's absence is if we continue lacking firm leadership from The White House on this issue....
