I don't have much issue with this since nearly all of them have criminal backgrounds.
asking once again...wouldn't any known illegal not automatically have a...criminal background?
not necessarily a criminal conviction though. Since only 5 have been previously deported, I doubt the others had sich criminal convictions.
One of the most common convictions is for ID Fraud, specifically using another's SSN and other personal info for employment purposes
I prosecuted just such a caselast yea r for a local farmworker who was using the info of a mexican american in Phoenix. I generally have no sympathy for ID thieves and negotiated a relatively short jail stay followed by deportation, but this guy and 99% like him don't use it to access bank accounts or credit cards, etc, but just to work. 99% of them wouldn't commit any serious criminality at all if their immigration status were normalized.
