I'd be curious to know if there are more transpeople in the military or people who are uncomfortable with transpeople in the military. Those figures ought to be sought out.

It's obviously the latter but who cares?

There are probably more people who are racist against Australian Aborigines in the military than people of native Australian descent. Should we kick them all out too?

It would be pretty lame if some really important mission failed because the optimal person for the job was excluded from the military because of this policy.

No we don't, and no you don't. This may be the single most head-scratching belief in all of conservative evangelical Protestantism. What kind of psychological factors drive someone to believe that "everyone deserves eternal torture" and similar absurdity?
