I have to ask, objectively as possible, does Trump spending the night in jail over a truth social post hurt or help him in the court of public opinion?

Out of curiosity, would would be the lightest (realistically speaking) sentence Trump could get?

What exactly should Biden even say in the case of an acquittal or hung jury? That part confuses me unless he tries to pull a Harris post-Rittenhouse trial and attack the justice system.

Jury speculation is foolish but I think there's a few reasonable assumptions that CAN be made:

1. If every Juror thinks Trump is guilty they'll probably come back today/tomorrow
2. If they don't come back within 36-48 hours (my personal thought is before Lunch tomorrow), then 1+Jurors are not convinced of guilt.
3. The longer deliberations go on the odds of a hung jury go up.

anything more than that just devolves into silly fanfic imo.

Presumably if they don't reach a verdict by EOD Friday then the odds of a hung jury go up fairly substantially.
