No, not worthy. 

The very question begs for analysis of the true meaning.  If we are to judge whether he is worthy of the award he received 6 or 7 years ago because of what he has done since then, it seems to be built upon flawed logic.  Consider if you would judge the 2008 MVP winner for the American League to be worthy of that award based upon what he has accomplished in the seasons since then.
