The early good night he should worry about is for his campaign.  I don't see Daniels faring well in IA or SC because of the social issues truce and the independents-inclusive NH electorate that he might have more appeal with supports Romney in what is more likely than not going to be a stable way.  Unless I'm missing something, if Daniels did run, I'd bet on it being a short campaign.  Though he's a pundit and maybe Bush family favorite, I don't get why he's higher on intrade than Thune, Pawlenty and especially Huckabee who seems as ambivalent about a run as Daniels but would have a relatively easy nomination path as far as I can see.
