If I'm interpreting the Constitution correctly, since the recall vote is "to be brought before the electorate in an immediate vote", then it would run from Tuesday to Friday, with the only question being an up-or-down vote on the Governor. An election to replace him would presumably follow. Am I correct?

So this only leaves a day for candidates for governor to declare? That smells of bad legislation.

We'll also have to amend the Recall Amendment to define "immediate".

First you have to survive the recall vote, which I doubt you will.

This is kind of like an update thread. For instance, if the NE Electorate votes to recall the Governor, it will be posted here. It also helps keep track of declared candidates.

But, to be clear, it ought in no way to serve as the only thread in which someone can declare his candidacy. Posting to that effect can be done in the official candidate declaration thread.

No, in all actuality. I'm really trapped right now because I'm thinking about registering as an Independent because I'm so sick of all the parties.

You certainly wouldn't be alone Wink

The SRC really must begin its work straight away, since now we cannot be convinced that certain laws passed at any point in the Northeast followed the proper legal route. With this revelation, I don't know if we can trust anything posted in the Wiki as a legitimate law.
