Not that I'm defending the judge, but the attorney has defended the KKK in the past so he gets no sympathy from me. Mississippi is a joke state.
Another fun fact: Mississippi did not ratify the 13th amendment until 1995*

*Not official because the state never offcialy notified the US Archivist.
