With Dean having stopped campaigning, and Edwards having a strong showing, could the Idaho/Utah primaries have any effect on the outcome of the race? We're looking at two states that most likely have more conservative Democrats, and most likely won't be voting for Kerry in droves.
Only a very small minority in those states are Democrats, and they're probably not all that conservative - propably mostly transplants from the East or CA, and environmental nuts, etc.
Northern Idaho has a substantial Democratic population that is niether of those things. They are moderates, union members, socially conservative, etc.
I think Idaho will back Kerry, though personally I'll be going ot the caucuses to support Edwards.
Well I dunno about that Immy, I'd say Democrats strongest support is in Blaine county. And around the U of I campus.
However, being in many debates with Idaho's Dems and some of the major newspapers around, I don't believe that Idaho Dems are very conservative, just my opinion though, Immy would know better 'cause he goes to their conventions.
