The thing is, there has to be some sort of proportions to this. Everyone isn't supposed to hold an office and there aren't enough dedicated people, to put it simply. a 5-person cabinet, 10-person senate, president+VP, 3-person SC and 5 governors make for a total of 25 people. (sorry if I forgot a position). That BARELY works, i.e. those 25 can MOSTLY be counted on to be there. More positions would probably mean even slower decision processes.

My sentiments exactly.  We simply don't have enough active people to allow for the creation of any more positons.  It's bad enough now.

I would love to see a bicameral legislature. Perhaps we can divide the senate in half, and make the people who represent districts as House members, and the ones who represent the regions we keep as Senators. We could enlargen the house over time, and eventually make 2 senators per region once again.

We have more than enough positions as it is.  We do not need any expansion of government.
