Barack Obama is assassinated in early 2010. Under Biden, healthcare passes and everything goes about the same.

Citing health reasons, Biden does not seek election in 2012.

Under the 2000 Electoral College assignment, Jerry Brown narrowly wins election (because he wins Florida; I wouldn't be surprised if Scott Brown wins the PV though).
