I've often heard Obama supporters call Romney supporters white "racists"

There certainly is a distinct racial difference in lifestyle between Romney and Obama.

George W Bush at least came from a hispanic influenced state and promoted many African Americans and Latinos to prominent positions.

On the other hand, Romney is from a predominantly white state of Massachusetts, and has lived in Boston for his adult life, which is a city that has had poor race relations between the dominant white Irish population and the Black population.  The most notorious Boston race riots came during forced school busing and the integration of public schools.

Romney is also part of a mostly white religion, that has many conservative values to the right of the Catholic church and the Evangelical movement.  The Mormon church also outlawed any Black members until recently.

The mainstream media and most of Hollywood find Romney unacceptable to a multi-cultural America.

Do you think Romney's "Whiteness" is a big issue for the 2012 election?

In this election, for the first time in history, neither major party has nominated a WASP.  This is the least WASPish election ever.

Mormons are the WASPs of the West. While not generally considered to be WASPs, Mormonism is technically a branch of Protestant Christianity.

Not even close.

+2 for being ironic. Kinda. Sorta. Not really at all, no.

Non-whites cannot tell the difference between different white religions and white culture.
White people think all Black people look the same and act the same.
Races are always ignorant of the other races and stereotype.  That is just life.

Does anyone know what race Deval Patrick,  the governor of Massachusetts  is?

Boston is still a very segregated city.  That doesn't mean the state is any more friendly to Black people, although it has improved slightly.  Just go to the Saint Patricks Day Parade if you want to get an idea about race relations from the Boston irish people.

South Boston is not Boston. Neither is Belmont, where he lived, which is next to Cambridge, which is a reasonably diverse city.

South Boston is also notoriously hostile to the gays, but no one applies that to the entire state.

P.S. Scott Brown has a hq in Southie.

I still don't think Boston is exactly welcoming of Black People.  Its still quite segregated, except for the homeless people in Cambridge.
