I saw an article about who most Americans "expected Obama to win the popular vote" and not who they were actually voting for.  Essentially, most Americans "expect Obama to win" even if they are voting for Romney and polls are showing the race tied.

I think this has more to do with Name recognition and 4 years of positive media exposure for Obama.  People have gotten used to saying "president Obama" from hearing it in the media, that they haven't really envisioned a "President Romney" based on the few weeks he has been ahead in some polls.

So, If Romney actually won Ohio and the election, would you be extremely SHOCKED?

The mainstream media and liberal media have been pretty positive for Obama the last 4 years.  There is certainly no "Blame Obama" meme unlike the "Blame Bush" meme.

The media has been "Anti-Bush" for 12 years, and "Anti-Republican" since 1994, so at least the 50% of the country that voted for Gore has solidified its Democratic Love affair for the last 20 years.

That's why many liberals thought Kerry would win in 2004, because there was so much anti-Bush bias in the liberal media, and the fact that Gore won the PV in 2000, made it seem like Kerry could match that number.

But Romney has a real 50/50 chance at at least winning the PV.  IF Romney wins, I expect the liberal media like MSNBC pundits Matthews and Maddow to just jump off a cliff.  This will totally destroy their worldview, perhaps more-so than the Bush victories in 2000 and 2004.
