Bulgarian, English and German - (though admittedly my German is very rusty and it's difficult for me to speak it).
I studied Russian at school and can understand it pretty well, though I'm almost incapable of speaking and writing. And I can understand other Slavic languages to various degrees - Macedonian (if there's such a language) - almost completely, Serbian - a lot, the other languages much less and Polish least of all.

I can understand BBC English though I refuse to speak it.

I also know enough German and French to embarrass myself in public if I so choose. Welsh too, but the first language of my Grandfather is not a foreign language.
I think that in most countries people will be delighted if a foreigner ( excluding migrants) can speak their language. Unfortunately, these countries don't include any English speaking countries or France.
