Right... the foundations of Western Civilization... because it's not like homosexuality existed, and was accepted, in ancient Rome and classical Greece or anything.
Well, Homosexuality was far from accepted in the Ancient World. We should not confuse the practice of efebophilia, which was pretty standard, with the practice of homosexuality, as it exists today. The Ancients would have been shocked and disgusted by, say, two men in their thirties having a sexual relation, they would think it pretty normal for a man in his fifties to toy around with a teen boy.
