Land of corruption, seemingly moderate Republicans and sons that embarrass the legacies of their fathers.

Governors are sworn in on New Years Day and their terms expire on New Years Eve, hence the odd start and end dates.

I agree. Andrew Cuomo is repugnant and probably one of the few potential 2020 Democratic nominees I wouldn't support (not that he'd win the nomination, his approval ratings rival that of the President).

Governors are sworn in on New Years Day and their terms expire on New Years Eve, hence the odd start and end dates.


Even if they are sworn on new year day don't their terms technically expire then cause they are still governor for a few hours on New Year's Day (unless new governor is sworn in at midnight ).
I don't know the details, each governor is listed (for example) as January 1, 1995-December 31, 2006.
